If you've ever used a carnauba paste wax on your car, you'll know the deep, warm glossy finish that comes from it. Ceramic coatings are a liquid polymer product that bonds to your clear coat to form a semi-permanent protective layer. These products offer a high level of chemical resistance, protecting against brake dust and road debris, bird droppings, tar, sap, and more.
We recommend putting aside a full day to allow proper installation. We'll arrive in the morning, set up equipment, wash your vehicle, correct the paint, and apply the coating. Afterwards, it is best to let the coating cure on the paint for as long as possible before driving.
With a ceramic coating, we recommend hand washing the car, ideally with a pH neutral soap. It is generally safe to bring your car to a touch-less car wash, however, we always recommend letting us service your ceramic coated vehicle with our Maintenance program.
Never bring your ceramic coated car to a soft touch or bristle car wash. Not only will this introduce marring to your paint, but it will easily remove the coating and it will immediately void the M&L Detail Ceramic Coating warranty.
No. Ceramic coatings offer a high level of chemical resistance - but they cannot handle mechanical abrasion. If you are looking for abrasion resistance, we can recommend local installers for PPF and Peelclear.
